Roasted potatoes as a holiday side

Roasted potatoes were a menu mainstay of my Italian-American youth, so its nice to see another dish I grew up with making it into the mainstream.

The New York Times has discovered roasted potatoes, which I wrote about some time ago. This Times recipe has been making the rounds on Facebook, with several of my friends recommending it recently.

Roasted potatoes make a great holiday side, relatively easy to make but impressive for your guests to behold.

The Times recipe looks similar to one I wrote about from Rachel Ray. Whichever you use, leave out the salt and avoid garlic salt
