The Sabra brand is known mainly for its hummus. It was always a favorite of my vegetarian daughter when she was home from school and likely still is if she can find it in her new home of Portland, Ore.

We buy it ourselves at Costco for parties. But in recent days, Costco also has been carrying a Sabra pineapple salsa. Salsa is normally high in salt, although there are low-salt varieties out there which I’ve written about. When I checked the new Sabra pineapple salsa, I was pleasantly surprised to see it is relatively low-salt.

You can see the details on the nutrition label here, 85 mgs of salt per serving, four grams of sugar. While some low-salt salsa goes down to as little as 25 mgs a serving, 85 is considerably less than most salsa on store shelves. A serving is two tablespoons, so I normally measure out four tablespoons.
I’ll have it with either salt-free taco chips I’ve found or with low-salt pita bread I buy from Naf Naf Grill, a chain that makes its own pita which is drastically lower in salt than most.
Nice to have another low-salt salsa to choose from and nice to have it at Costco where I can buy a large container of it relatively inexpensively. The pineapple variety isn’t shown on the Sabra site just yet, so it may be exclusive to Costco at the moment, let me know fi you can find it elsewhere.

My costco does not carry this anymore, can anyone tell me where to find it? I LOVE the stuff.
Mine dropped it too, probably a chain-wide decision, if you find it elsewhere let me know. Thanks.
