WebMd.com is a go-to source on health information for me, I check it several times a week. So I was happy to see among the frenzy of year-end lists that it put out a healthy eating tips list for 2018.

Some of these 16 tips are basic, like the first two, eat more fruits and vegetables and cut down on fast food. Haven’t we all been trying to do both forever now?
Some are always difficult to do, like just saying no to your favorite treats and not over-eating. And one would be great if you can do it, get support.
Its suggestions on that last one:
“It’s easier to be strong when you have folks on your side. Ask a buddy or family member to eat healthy with you. Hold each other accountable. Don’t try to go healthy while your family eats what they want. If you’re all in it together and one of you is tempted to slip, the rest will be there for support. Or go high-tech and to download an app or find a website to keep you on track.”
Really, the list comes down to planning and keeping track fo what you eat. avoiding salt, sugar and fat, which are all around us, takes constant vigilance.
